Help-A-Shelter, 10 November 2017

Help A Shelter is now active with food collections in the Lonehill area.  We would like to introduce you to the shelters that you will be supporting:

4 Paws

Currently have 37 doggies and 200 cats up for adoption.  Running costs R80 000 to R90 000 each month.  Owe R12 000 in veterinary bills


Currently have 230 doggies up for adoption.  Running costs average R85 000 each month.  Owe R100 000 in veterinary bills

Maltese French Poodle Yorkie Rescue SA

Currently have 70 doggies up for adoption.  Running costs average R70 000 each month.  Owe R58 000 in veterinary bills

The 9th Day Rescue

Currently have 150 doggies up for adoption.  Running costs average R70 000 to R80 000 each month.  Owe R102 000 in veterinary bills

Tip of the week:  Most dangerous foods for dogs that must be completely avoided:

Avocado, chocolate, raisins and currants, onions, garlic, walnuts and madamias, cooked bones, dairy, alcohol, grapes mushrooms, fatty foods, caffeine, xylitol (artificial sweeteners)
