Carole’s Cat Chronicles 15 December 2016

Do you think we can find a home for these beautiful cats.  We have 6 weeks to help find new homes.  May be two together.

Please contact me for more information on the cats.

Carole’s Cat Chronicles – 9 December 2016

First  and foremost I want to say a huge thank you to all of you who have supported the major part of the costs of feeding the cats at the Leaping Frog.  Without you guys I would certainly not have been able to continue supplying a daily meal for these very special cats.

This week I have received a large box of Friskies pouches, Whiska’s pouches, a bag of Whiskas pellets and a bag of Epol.  Every donation is so gratefully received, this in addition to the people who donate in to the Homeless cat fund account.  The reward is to see these cats recognizing the car and the person who comes to give them a bowl of food every day. Their eager faces, chirrups, meows and gentle purrs make it all so worthwhile.

In my chronicles today  I am showing you pictures of two cats that I rescued when they were very young, vulnerable kittens, with no sign of a mother, or support to help them make it through to adulthood.  These are the lucky ones that have ended up in the most loving and caring homes.  Not all are so fortunate, and these are the ones that rely upon me, and the volunteers I find, to ensure they at least have a meal every day.  If they are sick or injured, and if I can catch them, they will receive veterinary care.

Some of the volunteers go away over December and I need another person to help over this period.  Please contact me if you can spare 20-30 minutes feeding the cats at the Leaping Frog centre.

A very special thank you to Antonnio’s Italian Kitchen in the Lonehill Shopping Centre for sponsoring our Domestic Forum Christmas Party.

We would also like to thank those residents who kindly donated gifts for our members.

We look forward to another successful Domestic Forum in 2017!

Fidelity Christmas Hamper Fund Handout

Each year, residents and businesses kindly contribute to the Fidelity Xmas Hamper Fund. Hampers were handed out yesterday evening. Thanks to Wendy, Malcolm and Kristen Thompson as well as Caroline Forbes and staff from Fidelity for assisting with the handout.

It’s heartwarming to see how grateful our Fidelity Guards are for this hamper. A second handout took place this morning at 06h15 and the final one will take place on Monday morning at 06h15.

We would welcome any member of the community to attend and assist in handing out hamper vouchers.
